Grés de Montpellier has officially been upgraded from a Languedoc denomination to a specific appellation AOP - Grés de Montpellier.
The wines produced in this area, mainly reds, benefit from a unique stony terroir, hence the name ‘Grés’.
The terroir is marked by a maritime influence that gives our wines a mineral and saline profile.
Clos de l'Amandaie represents a 30-hectare vineyard located in the coolest part of the appellation, our vines are mostly located in the heart of the garrigue at an altitude of between 250 and 300 metres. Our vines also have poor, stony soils (Grés). All these characteristics, as well as the maritime influences, give our wines atypical profiles. The whites have good acidity and tension, with typical mineral and saline finishes. The reds are elegants with fresh hints of menthol and garrigue. This gives complex and elegant wines, born of a unique terroir and our know-how, our main objective is to offer wines with freshness and finesse.
