Press Release
February 6, 2025. The international promotion program of the Valpolicella Wine Protection Consortium is set to begin, as it will participate for the first time in Wine Paris (Paris – Porte de Versailles) from February 10 to 12, as part of the “Quality Heritage of Europe” (QHE) project. This debut features a collective of 36 local companies present at the institutional stand of the organization in the Italy Pavilion (6/B 060), showcasing 240 labels of wines from the denomination, led by Amarone. “In a complex moment for the sector,” comments the president of the Valpolicella Wine Protection Consortium, Christian Marchesini, “it is essential to expand the scope of promotion. The European program allows us to further support the internationalization path of our companies and to enhance the positioning of Valpolicella wines.”
“Quality Heritage of Europe” (EU Reg. No. 1144/2014) is promoted by the Valpolicella Wine Protection Consortium and the Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese Consortium. Co-financed by the European Union, the plan has a three-year duration and includes specific activities in Italy and participation in trade fairs in France and Germany to raise awareness among European consumers about the benefits of quality agri-food products, particularly those with PDO and PGI labels.
Companies of the Valpolicella Wine Protection Consortium at Wine Paris 2025 include:
